July 2, 1942 - November 10, 2013 Stage director, actor, and retired tenured Professor of Drama 1989-2009 at San Diego Mesa College, Ron Antionio Castro, aka Juan Castro, passed early Sunday, November 10th at Saint Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Dallas, Texas, Ron attended John Marshall High School and received his Bachelors and Master of Fine Arts degrees in Theatre Arts from UCLA. He is deeply loved and painfully missed by his wife of thirty years, Jewel Castro, his brothers and sisters, John, Michael, Anna and Gina, sisters in law Beth and Carol, father in law Mike Davis, and countless extended family and friends. Ron will be cremated and family and close friends will celebrate his life in Gig Harbor on December 7.
