The actor Omero Antonutti died, he was 84 years old

On Tuesday morning the actor and voice actor Omero Antonutti died at 84: he was at the hospital in Udine due to the complications of a tumor. Antonutti was born in 1935 in Basiliano, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and became known by playing the role of Gavino Ledda's father in the film Master Father, taken from the homonymous autobiographical novel by Ledda and directed by the Taviani brothers. During his long career he acted other times in films by the Taviani brothers (The Night of San Lorenzo, Kaos, Good Morning Babylon and You laugh), while his latest interpretation dates back to 2013, in Welcome President! by Riccardo Milani. Antonutti had also been a well-known and appreciated voice actor, and had dubbed British actor Christopher Lee in several films, including those in the saga of the Lord of the Rings.
