German dubbing voice of Severus Snape is dead
Bernd Rumpf died. The voice actor and actor, who starred Alan Rickman and Liam Neeson, was 72 years old.
Actually, he was never a fan of dubbed films, but then he himself became one of Germany's most famous voice actor. Bernd Rumpf was best known for his work as a German voice in the "Harry Potter" films, in the role of Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) or in numerous films with Liam Neeson.
The death of the artist was confirmed by his agency Media Paten. According to Bernd Rumpf died on 1 October. No further information was provided on the cause of death.
Liam Neeson, George Clooney or Alan Rickman
The native of Göttingen lent Hollywood star Liam Neeson in numerous films, such as in "Nell", "Star Wars: Episode I - The Dark Menace", "96 Hours" or "Batman Begins", his voice. In Quentin Tarantino's film "From Dusk Till Dawn," he spoke to George Clooney.
In 1995 he took over for the first time the synchronization of Alan Rickman in "sense and sensuality". While his colleague Erich Hallhuber first spoke this voice, Bernd Rumpf took over after his death in 2003 again and was also the classic voice of Rickman as Severus Snape in the "Harry Potter" films.

In addition to his work as a speaker, the Niedersachsen worked again and again as a theater actor. He appeared, for example, in the Theater am Neumarkt, the Schauspielhaus
in Zurich or the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.
Also in German TV series you could see Bernd hull. He took on a role in "Verliebt in Berlin" and "Red Roses". He leaves his wife Roswitha Dost.
