Veteran voice actor and dubber Luis Martín Carrillo died on September 12, 2019 in Spain. He was an actor and actor of Spanish dubber and director. He was the usual voice in Spain of Spencer Tracy, Michael Caine, Peter Falk and Jean-Paul Belmondo. He participated in the dubbing of the Colombo, Team A, Charlie's Angels and Xena La Princesa Guerrera TV series.
He also participated in the dubbing of the classic series of Saint Seiya, The Knights of the Zodiac in Spanish. He made his debut in Episode 54 by voicing Agora de Loto.
.He began his carrer in the world of radio in the 1950s on local radio stations Radio Almeria and Radio Juventud. There he made his first steps as a radio actor, sharing radio hours with María Rosa Granados, Paco Moncada, Juan Jose Perez 'Juanjo' or Plácida García Tristán.
Years later he went to Madrid becoming an actor on National Radio of Spain, where with the learning in the Almerian stations he established himself as an excellent professional. After a certain time on the radio he had the opportunity to enter the world of movie dubbers.
Almeria has doubled almost all the great world famous actors. One of the first interpreters was Spencer Tracy, followed by Raymond Burr in the role of Ironside , Peter Seller, Jack Lemmon, Jean Paul Belmondo, Peter O 'Toole, Steve MC Queen, Peter Seller or Maichel Caine, among others.
Our countryman came to have his own studies in the capital of Spain. Its deep and nuanced voice is unique and privileged.A voice that does not go unnoticed. But it's not only his voice, it's that Luis Martín Carrillo is an extraordinary actor. He moved easily within the drama, although comedy never had secrets for him.
He is remembered dubbing Truffaut on Day for Night;Christopher Plummer in The Thorn Birds;to Robert Loggia in Big , to Steve McQueen in The Towering Inferno;to Fred Astaire in You’ll Never Get Rich.He was even the only one who knew how to take on Colombo, with enough personality to imitate the lieutenant while giving him a personal touch.
Another Almerian, a great that we add to an already extensive list of characters of our land.
