Director Alessandro Valori, a heart attack at the restaurant, has died

The Valencian 54-year-old director Alessandro Valori died suddenly last night because of a heart attack while he was having dinner in a restaurant in Recanati (Macerata) with, among others, the creator of the Winx Iginio Straffi.
Valori, born in 1965 in Macerata, attended the school of screenwriting of Tonino Guerra in San Marino and followed stage of directing and screenplay by Nikita Michalkov. He worked as assistant director for Lina Wertmüller, Sergio Corbucci, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani. In 1991 he founded the Notorius production company. Since 1994 he has directed several short films, documentaries and numerous music video clips for Italian artists. In 2001 he made the backstage of the film by Marco Bellocchio L'ora di religion e. In 2003 he made his directorial debut with his first feature film, Radio West . In 2008 his second film Who is born round ... with Valerio Mastandrea and Sandra Milo. His latest film of 20167 was Free Throw, preceded the year before by How to Jump Fish.
