Actor-producer Larry 'Flash' Jenkins passed away this week.

The 63-year-old performer, best known for his roles in 80s classics Fletch and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 'passed suddenly' reported The Blast.

'It’s believed he died of a heart attack,' the gossip site wrote on Friday.

Jenkins' first credited role was in the 1978 TV movie Crisis In Sun Valley, before being cast in an episode of TV hit M*A*S*H one year later.

However his big break came in 1985, when he was cast as the down-on-his-luck Gummy alongside Chevy Chase in Fletch.

One year later he appeared as a car thief in the iconic 80s comedy, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Jenkins was also a producer and director, having worked behind the camera on films such as Don't Touch If You Ain't Prayed and Sorority Sister Slaughter.

Larry was twice divorced, having been married to Michele Jenkins from 1984-1991 and Jean Coleman Jenkins from 1997-2009.

Larry is survived by his 25-year-old son Jeffrey.
